I am a registered user of MetalWeb since 3.9 (or pre2 as some call it). I had VERY little problems with it. I had been told that 4.01 (or is it 4.0.1) is more stable than 4.0 (which gave me some troubles, but I was able to work with it). Anyway, after a MAJOR set of mishaps here (first partial - and then complet HW failures that cost me my B/Us and partial - and them complete HD failures that cost me all my primary programs) I am rebuilding my system (more or less) from the ground up.
I downloaded MetalWeb 4.01 and atttempted to use it. The install went ok. But when I opened the drawer, I saw only MetalWeb and MetalMap (aren't there supposed to be some instructions there as well?). OPening MetalWeb caused an almost immediate system crash (I got about 2 seconds of the MetalWeb output window). I thought that maybe I wa sgetting a clash with Voyager 3.3.122 (which I am also haveing problems with). So, when the system came back up again, I loaded JUST MetalWeb. Same result.
