I continue my meditations on what to do in the event that humanity
disappears. Now that we know what to preserve
(a handful of works from the Antiquity and the Middle Ages) and what medium
to use (clay tablets), let's ask ourselves
the question of where to bury it all. I think the best place is the
archaeological site of Babylon. For the symbolism
(I am talking about ancient history of course) and because it is in the
area where the tablets of the Gilgamesh epic
have been found in perfect state of preservation, which proves that the
place is ideal to preserve for hundreds of thousands
of years the archives of mankind disappeared.
