I'm going to pile on here. LIke Mario, Benoit, Alexander, and Dijkstra,
we should leave Word indexing as starting from 0.

It'd be a big change, with a lot of work, for no big benefit.
I haven't done a serious literature search, but I expect that the literature
will be inconsistent (just like it's inconsistent with the natural numbers).
If anything, I think there's been an increasing move towards 0-start
over 1-start over the last 100 years. Modulo is more inconvenient for 
1-starting, too.

Let's leave Word as 0-starting (unchanged).
