Watermans is delighted to present *SonicRecycler2, *produced in
collaboration with Sprawl and Brentford Recycling Action Group. After
the success of SonicRecycler1 (2003) this unique event brings together
local recycling groups as well as features the most innovative UK sound
artists reusing the existing sounds. (Please see full line up below). A
Special feature of the evening is the opportunity to drift into
*/“Finisterre/*”  -- the movie by Saint Etienne featuring voices of
Lawrence from Felt/Denim, Mark Perry, the editor of original punk
fanzine, /Sniffin' Glue/, as well as Vic Godard from Subway Sect and
artist Julian Opie. Another treat is Beck’s videos by D-Fuse, the London
based visual collective.

reinventing, sampling or recycling pre-existing sound and music.  Other
attractions include an 'indoor fete' of stalls run by BRAG, Ealing
Friends of the Earth, Hounslow Borough Council Recycling Team & The
Green Trading Company and free DJs and a beer garden!

/BackStrikesEmpire/, the second part of a major trilogy of moving image
works by multimedia      artists, Igloo, continues at Watermans.
/BackStrikesEmpire,/ filmed on location in Western Australia and New
South Wales, uses moving images, dance and customised design software to
explore the elemental forces of climate and its effect on geological
formations. It reflects the interaction between people and landscape and

*CINE: Creative Industries Network* *Events* is a series of bi-monthly
events for London based small creative businesses providing an
opportunity to discuss, network and exchange ideas.  Each session begins
with a formal presentation and debate in the Theatre followed by an
informal networking session between delegates and speakers in the River
Terrace Bar.

The focus of this project is to provide an inspirational space whereby
delegates can get together to share practice, collaborate and
cross-fertilize ideas.



CINE is open to creative individuals and businesses working in the field
of creative media and Asian creative businesses. The next CINE session
will be about ‘*/Bucking the Trend’/* and take place on *22 May from
7.00pm – 10.00pm **@ Watermans*
