Dear Listees: On page 13 of the latest (Spring 2002) Smithsonian Institution Press catalog is a full-page description of a new book entitled "Meteorites: A Journey through Space and Time," by Alex Bevan and John de Laeter. It is described as "an expertly guided look at meteorites," and contains "a great deal of material about the 84002 Martian meteorite."
Also: "The 160 color and 70 b&w illustrations that illuminate the text present some of the most stunning examples of these ancient voyagers." There are a couple of photos in the catalog, including a shot of the 11 1/2 ton main mass of Mundrabilla (!), and a reproduction of the new book's cover art, which looks very attractive. 256 pages, 9" x 11," priced $35.95.
