Hello All,

A couple things....

Hersey Kiss Tektites....these are tektites that are...well shaped like a chocolate Hersey Kiss (those overseas may search the net to see what I am talking about).  They are teardrops that were still soft a little when impacting the ground so their tails where still in the air pointing up.....

I have a few of these in my collection and am interested in gettimg more, if anyone has any, please e-mail me off list.  I did a few comparision photos with a real chocolate kiss and was surprized at the results....I am thinking about doing an article on them any help would be appreciated.

They also have a FLAT bottom.  If the bottom is not flat its not what I consider a true hersey kiss.  "Onion" shaped tektites formed by spinning is an example of a shape that will look like the hersey kisses....

Pretty much all I found were around 20 grams and all from Thialand, around the Khorat Plateau.

To make Hershey's Kisses, chocolate is deposited by machines onto a moving stainless steel belt. The chocolate then moves through a cooling tunnel for about 18 minutes before emerging as a solid product.

So....I was wondering....does anyone know at what tempature  tektites become solid? Probley the same as obsideon... I am also interested in know how fast the tektites would be traveling and if anyone knows..a simple formula for figuring out how much effect the air around the tektite effects the tektite as compared to air temp. and tektite travel speed. Mt Saint Helen research might have several of these poorly phrased question's answers.

and Tuscon!!!

Looks like we all in for a treat.  Two new meteorite books, two meteorite auctions, a meteorite party, and well....lots of meteorites!!  I look foward to meeting everyone I did not get to meet last year at Denver.

I'm not sure what all I will bring down with me as I plan to bring a lot back.  Probley even have to mail a couple packages to myself....never done that before.

I am flying down late Feb 5th and will fly back on the 10th.  I have to go through Denver each way so maybe I'll run into one or two of you COMETS?

I've always enjoyed reading everybodys stories after the show so I will make time to put mine in words.

At least I know where to look for everybody.....most people can usually be found in Blaine Reed's room drinking his beer I assume as in Denver?

See some of you...next week!!!
