<< The religious faithful continue to rally around a document which is
nothing more than a collection
of fables, which is never questioned. It is taken on faith. >>

And no one's asking you to "keep the faith". You obviously place no value
on faith, or anything you can't touch or see, which is fine. Some other
people do, though. And believe it or not, they're allowed to, in spite of
the self-assumed superiority of your position. You equated faith with
ignorance in your first post. It bounced back at you, I think.

<< So much horror has been committed in the name of religion >>

Vastly, vastly more people were killed in the name of secular philosophies in
the 20th Century alone, than were killed in the name of religion for all the
centuries of human existence put together. Do you, then, oppose secular
beliefs? Anything can be misused. The existence of bad lawyers does not
mean that Law is bad. The misuse of science does not mean that science is
bad. The misuse of religion does not mean that religion is bad.

Unless, of course, one just simply despises religion to begin with, and I
leave that to you. ;-)
