I've been looking over my meteorite display at the library where I work, and despite the humid, salty air here, my Nantan hasn't shed one pinprick of rusty shale. It's still just lightly covered in orange, which may have protected it from further corrosion. The Sikhote-Alin, on the other hand, is spalling off tiny flakes; that has to be a reversal of the usual!
