I never use OE either, I've always used Eudora. I set it NOT to open 
attachments but to download them into a "downloads" folder. From 
there I take manual action on a suspected file. I decide what to do 
with it. I'll run McAfee on the directory but even though that may 
say everything is o.k. I'm STILL VERY careful. Any .exe or .com files 
get trashed, regardless who they are from.

I bought an Apple ibook last August to play with and I've been using 
it for the net ever since so I don't worry about viruses at all while 
using it. My main PC is a Windows 98 machine (300 Mhz) but I'll be 
getting a new Dell in a couple of months.
