the bbc news site sci/tech section says cosmic rays come from giagantic black holes that once contained 100 million solar masses, no wonder space in that area had to collapse! does cosmic radiation contaminate meteorites, that outer layers are burned off and i remember reading meteorites are less so than earth rocks, are factors i guess
