These slices have the best surface/volume relation. This very rare silicate with large olivine crystals was found inside of a large and fractured Vaca Muerta meteorite of 400kg. The total mass of this beutiful silicate was 262g. Some slices show small and scarce metal inclusions. Vaca Muerta is a differentiated silicate and metal rich meteorite containing many silicate and eucrite inclusion around 10% in volume surrouded by a matrix of mesosiderite composition The Vaca Muerta parent body must have been impacted several times by different types of material to break up, mix, and fuse the various constituent pieces.
