Subject: (meteorobs) "eteorite hits kitchen garden in Belarus" - a
believable story?

Meteorite hits kitchen garden in Belarus

KRICHEV, MOGLYOV REGION, BELARUS. May 11
                (Interfax-West) -

A meteorite frightened a teacher in the
settlement of Krichev, Belarus' Mogilyov region,
from her kitchen garden last week.

Yekaterina Privalova was working when she heard
a loud whistle, district information official
Zinaida Skachkova told Interfax. The woman ran
towards her house and heard a thud.

Privalova called in neoghbors and approached a
pit about a meter deep and 0.4 meters wide. Using
a spade, they extracted a round object whose edges
were molten. It was a dark silver-colored stone
weighing 0.47 kilograms. It was still warm. [BY
