Hi Mike, Walter,
Somewhere in the back of my mind, my memorie says I once read somewhere that
this 'meteorite' was analyzed and turned out to be metal slag, and that there
was a whole pile of this matter at the spot where it should have happened. But
my memorie fails to retrieve where I read that.

I can fill you in, last year i was in Madrid and saw this stone, The =
curator of the Spanish collection told Jim Strope and I that the stone =
fell on a parked BMW at night and broke the window, and bent the =
steering wheal. The man was not in the car when she told me! the stone =
is still unclassified just because they have not yet gotten to it.=20

Subject: [meteorite-list] Spanish Meteorite?
Hello Everyone,
I have an astronomy textbook (Voyages Through the Universe, Fraknoi, =
Morrison, and Wolf, 1997) in which a meteorite is reported to have =
struck a car and the driver. On page 275, the text reads:
In June199, Jose Martin and his wife were driving from Madrid, Spain =
to a golfing vacation when a fist-sized meteorite crashed through the =
windshield, bounced off the dashboard, broke Jose's little finger, and =
then landed in the car's back seat.
Does anyone have any information about this meteorite?
Best wishes,
-Walter
