Hello Michael and list,

The Nikon does burn through some batteries.  Four top of the line batteries 
will last about two or three hours.  Faster if you use the video screen. 
Rechargable batteries work great and seem to last even longer.  I have three 
sets of rechargables and never need more then two sets.   Well except, when 
i was in Denver.  But I had went to Dallas and Manhattan first and really 
pushed it too hard.
