Hi Mike, Hi List members,

I agree with Mike, what a sobering thought!  The Moroccan connection is being tested every day by one thing or another.  If it is not unrest in the region now real bombs have to be thought about. I know Mike and everybody else who enters the region risks a considerable amount every time they go.  Other dangers I have heard about happening are catching some nasty virus, being mugged, being jailed, being chased through the desert and be watched very closely by people who think differently than most.  I have heard about all of these things happening and more.

Somebody might ask why anybody would want go to such a place?  I think the following reasons might apply:

1) The reward of finding something spectacular for example NWA 482, 817 or 998

2) The hunt for real treasure

3) The adventure

4) Observing a different culture

5) Making new friends, hopefully not enemies

One must weigh the risks before entering Northwest Africa and decide if the reward is worth the chances that one must take in order to be successful at whatever one's reasons are for entering the territory.

Subject: [meteorite-list] Bomb on Royal Air Maroc

The latest news on this said that the explosive was almost identical to the one the "Shoe Bomber" tried to use and American Airlines from Paris. HMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM Any connection?

Well, this should give a moment of thought to all who think that going to North Africa is a walk in the park. I always fly Royal Air Maroc through France or Spain on my trips to Africa. Morocco is not well liked by the Islamic terrorists due to it's pro American stance and very lenient Islamic laws.

So, the quest for NWA's is not as safe as it sounds.
