Hi Mark and List!

Great idea for a contest to be sure!
I'll tell you where I'd like to go. I'd like to hit the Gobi desert for and extended period. Why you ask? Well, let me tell you that aside from being virtually unexplored by western man in recent history, it covers a temendous area of land, its suited for meteorite searches in that the soil is light enough for dark colored fusion crusted items to stand out and its barren enough to allow for aerial recon with hopefully good results for impact sites.
So, with that in mind Mark, when are you organizing a trip there and how do we get ultralites/balloons/gyrocopters over there and to the field (You might read the book titled "the dinosaurs of the flaming cliffs" by Novacek). The Chinese are very open about westerners visiting their country now and so permits shouldn't be a major problem.
