These products work well if in a confined area, say a glass fronted display, or the like. I can see no reason it would cause harm to the meteorites other than a film of protectant that the excess, if any forms, can be easily wiped off with a good cloth.
I can't vouch for how it would do with some of the styrene/acrylic cases that many meteorites are stored in. Styrene is crazed by just regular alcohol, so maybe asking the dealer if he's used it around light guage plastics and such might be a great first step and writing the manufacturer couldn't hurt either. Sure is something to think about, especially with the way those nantans rust.
