Hiii and happy new year,,,

I have recently found few rocks (over 5 Kg total) that I believe is chondrite. The bottom half of one of these rocks (~1.5Kg) was (for long time) inside the hot and wet soil and was highly weathered that it became very soft and can be crushed very easily. I could separate the chondrules (that are still very hard, milky, glassy, and well in shape). Whereas the upper side of the rock is very hard and it seems that the chondrules have been melt away and left behind semi spherical holes on the surface.

My questions are: do you think that this is a meteorite at all? Why the surface chondrules melt away whereas they are very hard and stronger than the bulk material in the bottom half; as if the effect of high temperature is opposite to the effect of wet soil? Can we estimate the age from this highly weathered state?

I have also found inside this rock white crystalline pieces of irregular shape, 3-5 mm wide, any idea what are these?
