Dear Jeff,

The slices of the unknown, as pictured, very much resemble DAG 430, which is
so far classified as "C3 UNGR". At least it has the quasi same
"charcoal-like chondrules". I don't remember of the "sandy texture". Is the
texture of your slice similar to that of Agoult ?

Best wishes,

Zelimir, IMCA #2380

Hupes which is very different to any other pieces I have. It has peaked my
interest and since there is so much knowledge in this list, I thought I'd
ask for opinions as to what the classification may be. I would take a
somewhat semi-educated guess at an LL4 but I'm really not sure. The
meteorite is only 9.5g and has been cut into 4 pieces. It has a very sandy
texture or make-up and has many black chondrules/inclusions (what are they?)
through-out the matrix. It is a little difficult to see in a photo compared
to 'up-close and personal' but those black parts look kind of like little
round pieces of charcoal. If your interested, take a look for yourself at
