Hi Paul and list,

how terribly SAD that meteoritetimes has ended !!!
I' m fairly new to the fascinating world of meteorites (2 years)
and very new to the list (1 week).
Meteoritetimes was always very very exciting to read.
I printed out every issue and read it again and again:
Martins colorful Accretion Desk, Jim's Fragments,
Bob's findings, very usful hints at Meteorites 101 by Ron Hartman,
Michaels Market Trends, The Meteorite of the Month, Marks Collectors
Corner, ...
It was very interesting for me to read about Meteorite People: How they
started
their passion (our passion) towards rocks from space, their favoured
meteorite, ...
Sorry for not mentioning all names and topics!

I always thought that all meteoritelovers stand above jealousy and greed
and whatever thing that caused this sad decision.
(I still think 99.9% do stand above!) - but where there is light, there
is darkness as well.

I hope, despite the end of meteoritetimes, in one or the other way -
especially as a newcomer - to provit from the
enormeous knowledge and experience of the writers of meteoritetimes and
of many others here on the list. Many thanks to all of you!

Peter Marmet, Bern, Switzerland
