Dear List, and "wronger-collectors";
Very nice pictures of some very good looking wrongs. On the slag, I have noticed recently that if it were suspected to be an iron meteorite that it should have even attraction to the magnet across the surface..minus some of the thick rust getting in the way. But on the slag, I found that over half of the specimen had weak or no attraction to the magnet while parts were really strongly attracted. In an iron meteorite it should be homogeneously attracted (minus the thick rust effect) across the specimen I presume. Right?
Best,
Dave F.

Hello List,

I took Jeff's offer up and presented a picture and brief story on the "rocks" that got me interested in meteorites. As you would find out they turned out to be meteorwrongs...nice ones at that. The page is in one of his information sections on his site. The link is below.

Feel free to add the picture to your own meteorwrong pages.

Take care,

John

Subject: [meteorite-list] The Meteorite 'Space' - Hopefully
returning some favours!

G'day List,

There have been so many people on this list who have always been
there to help me when it was needed. Thank you to everyone.
I realised after I put the unclassified meteorite page together
for Steven the other day, that I can probably do that for any list
member who has a photo etc to share but doesn't have the web-space
to do it. I've quickly put together a page tonight and called it
The Meteorite 'Space'. It can basically be used as a FORUM FOR THE
PURSUIT OF METEORITE RELATED KNOWLEDGE, but will not be for
advertising etc. That's what ebay is for! ;-)

The link is: http://www.meteoritesaustralia.com/space

So feel free to keep it in mind or bookmark it for future use.
Hopefully I may be able to return a few helping hands I've
received over the last 18 months.

All the best from Australia on Australia Day,

Jeff Kuyken
