Thanks a lot, Hanno, for the brandnew impressions from the Munich show and the photos.

Unfortunately I wasn't able to participate this year, so the happier I am about reports. I remember that you mentioned, Hanno, in your report for the German forum that Gebel Kamil is more or less vanished from the tables, right? Wouldn't be too surprising I guess. That's a wonderful iron which obviously made it's way to the collector's homes.

Fliegerbraeu seems to be over, alas. Times they're a'changin ...

Subject: [meteorite-list] Photos - Munich Show 2011

Hello,

the Munich Show 2011 is over.
This year we had more visitors than in 2010 during all 3 days.
On meteorite I have not seen much news.
I think the freshest meteorite material on the show was from Mike Farmer with his Thika.
All profi dealers were attending the show as the last years.
You could realy see, that there was less material from NWA available than last year. For sure there were some nice specimens also achondrites offered, but absolut not to compare with that from some years ago.
The prices are high.
Individuals of ordinary chondrites what would not sell 3 years ago will now be bought and the collector is happy to get this.
This year there was unfortunatly no meeting on the friday evening.
But I have to say that it was again very nice to meet all the friends and collectors during the show.
That we had lots of fun you can see on the photos.
