I wrote the seller and stuck my neck out a little.  I offered to put him/her
in touch with some experts if they disagree with me.  I hope a few of you
will not mind should this person take me up on that offer.

Here is what I wrote:

With all do respect, this is not a meteorite as you are implying.  This
auction is leading people to believe that it is a meteorite and I consider
this fraudulent.

This is obviously a very common amethyst crystal.

If you believe I am wrong then please email me and I will gladly put you in
touch with two or three of the most noted meteoriticists in the United
States and you can ask for their opinion.

Please remove this auction from ebay or at least reword it so that others
are not mislead.
