Hello all,

The nearest color I can equate is "Grey Wolf Pelt"!!
Light just subdues it, although the silver matrix that's present becomes
more prominent.

Best Wishes for the New Year.

Hi,

Really good point!

It's a muted grey, silvery matrix under soft light and under bright light it
becomes much....brighter. The matrix is not quite as white as it reads on
my screen...it's more subdued.

All the best / Darryl

These are the first close-up images of the broken face of this Martian stone I have seen. Is the whitish-silver the true color of the matrix of this material or is the color off?

Greetings!

Here is a peek at an offering of the new witnessed fall shergottite, provisionally referred to by some in earlier posts on this list as Tata.

Michael Johnson's RSPOD image is the first specimen listed http://www.rocksfromspace.org/December_25_2011.html

Hoping everyone is enjoying their holiday. With wishes for a healthy, happy and really terrific New Year!
