Thank you to everyone that expressed there opinion on my find. Opinions are about 60/40 in favor of it being a meteorite. I've mailed a slice to the Field Museum in Chicago for evaluation. Should have an answer in about six months.

The stone is 8.76g and appears to have fusion crust, chondrules and metal flakes. Streak test leaves no streak and it has a density of 3.59. The vugs have me concerned. Pictures are posted on the Meteorite Junction. _http://www.meteoritejunction.com/viewtopic.php?f=10&t=645&p=3041#p3041_ (http://www.meteoritejunction.com/viewtopic.php?f=10&t=645&p=3041#p3041) Cheers, Jim Konwerski ______________________________________________ Visit the Archives at http://www.meteoritecentral.com/mailing-list-archives.html Meteorite-list mailing list [email protected] http://six.pairlist.net/mailman/listinfo/meteorite-list ______________________________________________ Visit the Archives at http://www.meteoritecentral.com/mailing-list-archives.html Meteorite-list mailing list [email protected] http://six.pairlist.net/mailman/listinfo/meteorite-list
