Please, don't send kick in the ass emails to Steve as he'll get his due and the last thing you want to do is help him prove an assertation that there is a general vendetta against him rather than genuine, objective outrage at what he is doing.

This is an extremely important case as in no time in history do I know of a precident that forces him to believe he doesn't have meteorites, and I hate to break it, but unless intent can be shown on his part, his defense of a conspiracy theory againt him would be really hard to beat since in the US we have the presumption of innocence and many have screws loose and still aren't insane.

There is no law regarding value of rocks, only regarding fraud, so that is ambiguous category, and it would be civil, I'd make a huge guess.

I think this would be a great case for Judge Judy, though, since in her courtroom, it is a courtroom of "equity" and there he would certainly lose and be told off and provide lots of entertainment for years to come for everyone including Steve. But IMO it would be the perfect solution. I would recommend to the local prosecuter, that they get rid of the case with as little publicity possible since that will only tend to feed the monster, and just sentence an indefinite restraining order regarding the sale, trade, gift, donation, or other conveyance of minerals in general with special attention to meteorites until he can provide to a court designated authority proof of authenticity who accepts that.

Then, perhaps that decision could be used by anyone who has purchased anything and would simply like their money back, and then if anyone wrote off any taxes with meteorite donations, the IRS prosecutes with their definition of fraudsters, which is much more relaxed than criminal proceedings, and they always get the little guilty guys.

Kindest wishes.
Doug

Thinking back on all the outlandish claims and strange behavior that Steve Curry exhibited in the past, I think that his best defense in a court of
law would be to claim insanity.

Hopefully, the prosecution will have a decent scientist as a witness to prove to the judge that Curry's rocks aren't meteorites, and importantly that
Curry knew it.

Maybe one or two from this List have something to offer the court case,
considering his history here.

We all know he won't plead guilty, and like all con-men I'm sure he's very
convincing in his scam to a noob.

Steve Curry's ebay handle uncometeorites is "no longer a registered
user". Mr. Curry and I had a long, not-very-pretty email exchange a few months
back, as I suspect a lot of listees probably did. At the beginning I
earnestly suggested that it would only be a matter of time and that for his own

best interest.....well, I'm preaching to the choir here, any of you who tried to deal rationally with him probably got the same threats and intimidation and insults in return. Anyway, on the one hand it may not be charitable to pile on - on the other hand, for those of you who might want to take this particular opportunity to send him one last love note, as I did, (or wish him good luck with his trial, if you're so inclined) :) can do so at link below (if you're signed in to ebay) ..............as a non-registered user
now, he may not get these messages, but then again, he may.
