If it is an item that the IRS does not require an appraisal, and if it is 
donated to a non-profit

school, it is deductable. But, the item must be valued at a relative value or 
at a fair market

value. Don't let the value be mottled by an "Intrinsic Value". The IRS will not 
understand!!!
