G'day List,

Firstly, thanks to all those who sent in replies to the post. While it's hard to get a good cross-section from 20-30 different replies, there were some interesting and somewhat unexpected outcomes. It started with an on-slaught of the LL-Chondrites (which I sort of expected) but a number of collectors in the last few days sent in majority votes for the H-Chondrites and slightly tipped the scales. The final result:

H-Chondrites: 37%
H/L Chondrites: 0%
L-Chondrites: 30%
L/LL Chondrites: 5%
LL-Chondrites: 28%

Falls: 48.8%
Finds: 51.2%

And as for the overall most popular meteorite.......

there isn't one! ;-) It was tied between several different meteorites. They were...

Thuathe (H4) [Fall]
Vytaka (H4-5) [Find]
Portales Valley (H6) [Fall]
NWA 869 (L5) [Find]
Richfield (LL3.7) [Find]
Ensisheim (LL6) [Fall]

with meteorites like Bensour, Kilabo, Gold Basin, Holbrook, Zag and Honolulu coming in a close 2nd! (All Falls too except for G.B.)

Hope you all enjoyed this interesting little exercise! Maybe in the near future I'll think of a different favourite to ask about!

Cheers,

Jeff Kuyken
