Gary, thanks for the look-out. This stuff is growing, no doubt a concern for all of our integrity future, along with growing meteorite frenzy. Relatively new to it (13 years for me) I've seen an explosion only in the last year. It's up to all of us to keep watch.

Subject: [meteorite-list] Does anyone know galeriacores on ebay?

Does anyone know galeriacores on ebay? This person is listing meteorites using official names that do not belong to him for meteorites that bear no resemblance to what he is representing them to be.

He is using my meteorite name NWA 7130 LL3 to sell an L5. He is also selling NWA 4972 as an L5 chondrite he says was found in June 2011. But that number does not coincide with meteorites found and classified within this period of time. A quick look in the met bull shows that NWA 4972 is an L4-5 found in 2007.

This could be an honest mistake, so I'm not making any accusations of fraud. I have messaged the person on ebay and just want to give this person the opportunity to correct this situation.
