As someone who bought one of these slices from ET, I can assure you that this material is absolutely amazing. For those of you that have FaceBook accounts, you can see my slice here: http://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=3600773422785&set=a.3369990013344.212 6805.1377056028&type=3&theater The vugs are filled with some very interesting structures including what in my slice looks like iron pyrite crystals (as per Jason Utas' observation under the microscope). Anyways, a feast for the eyes!

Chico is an absolutely beautiful and historic meteorite on display at University of New Mexico's Institute of Meteoritics. This meteorite, from the Lincoln LaPaz collection, is super cool and has large melt veins, vesicles, and huge vugs filled with accreted metal. The following is a link to pictures of four nice slices: http://s1256.photobucket.com/albums/ii492/thecooleststuff_503/ Additional slices are available but the pictures give you an idea of what the meteorite looks like plus the sizes and weights. Please let me know if you have any questions, I am happy to help! Thank you very much, Patrick Thompson [email protected] ______________________________________________ Visit the Archives at http://www.meteoritecentral.com/mailing-list-archives.html Meteorite-list mailing list [email protected] http://six.pairlist.net/mailman/listinfo/meteorite-list ______________________________________________ Visit the Archives at http://www.meteoritecentral.com/mailing-list-archives.html Meteorite-list mailing list [email protected] http://six.pairlist.net/mailman/listinfo/meteorite-list
