Hi All,

Where's the fusion crust on the meteorite pictured at the
following link?

Could the image be THAT overexposed that it looks grey
and orange on the outside?  Given the past track record
of such stories, I wouldn't quite be at the point of booking
a flight to Chicago based on this image.  I admit that
the bolide story sounds better than usual, but I temper
that enthusiasm with the knowledge that it occurred around
midnight, which is the worst time for a meteoroid in terms
of surviving atmospheric passage.  --Rob
