I don't think they cared much about time zones but their calendar was more accurate than the one in use today. They had no need for leap years so you don't need to worry about them being a day or two off.
They were a brilliant but brutal civilization. On another note, I have never seen so many airplane com trails as I have seen in the blue skies here today in Nevada. It looks like a lot of people are bugging out to Vegas to empty their bank accounts or at least bring on the end of the world as we know it in style.
