Michael, you are totally correct.

Did you notice that the current usage (in MetBull but also in some official scientific papers) is that one always writes "total known weight" but also "main mass" ?

Is this now fully admitted or tolerated or ...just odd ?

I was puzzled with this years ago but soon admitted this practice so that I even use it as such in my collection writeups ....at least until "TKW" is one day officially corrected by "someone responsible and concerned" to "TKM"....
