After many days of intensive research in the field, we are happy to present you
the result of our hunting on http://www.beni-mhira.com

The meteorite fell in january 2001 near the  city of Beni-M'Hira, 40 kilometers
east of Tatahouine.  It was a relatively discreet event in the meteorite
community (nobody talked about it on the meteorite-list and what is on the
market ?) compared to some other meteorite falls like Ben Sour, Bassikounou…

We decided to go back to Tunisia and locate the strewnfield, note the
testimonies of witnesses and draw the map of the ellipse.

We met a 85 year old sheppard who saw the main mass fall a few meters from him
and which dug a one meter large crater. We collected many information about the
deflagration and less on the fragmentation details.

Our intensive search led to about 150 stones in a 5 sq. kilometers area most of
which are complete and in pristine conditions. We walked a total of 600
kilometers for three meteorite collectors and three expeditions.

Most of the specimen you'll buy on http://www.beni-mhira.com
will be sold with their gps coordinates and photo in-situ.

In a few time, we will display the map of the strewnfield in a book with also
the story of our meteorite hunting in Beni-M'Hira strewnfield, anecdotes and
many photos of the finds.

Prices start at 3$/g up to 5$/g. Free shipping from 100$.
