Well........ Yes, Guido, those are pictures of thin-sections under polarizing filters and taken thru a microscope. Granted, they arenot very good, they are blurry and the color balance is off, (and you can see much better ones on my site) but they are real pictures of thin-sections, and the description are very basic but correct.

So, yes, for once the media did get that right.
