Hello, Harlan, and the list,
well, this beauty made a hole of 42 cm:s on the ice 80 cm:s thick,
and according the story some magnetic particles were found from
the ice surrounding the hole. Anybody ever heard about these pieces
more? And 150 kg:s has been recovered by the divers...
Bjurbole made a hole 4,25 x 3,5 meters, mud was spread over 24 x
33 meters area around the hole. TKW recovered was 328 kg:s. Ok,
in Bjurbole the depth of the water was just 8 meters, in Shirokovsky
according the story 23 meters, another is a pallasite and another is a
chondrite, but anyway, give me a break...
take care,
pekka

has anybody ever seen a crusted piece of this "fall" for that matter? aren't crust pieces from falls worth more than others? why would someone trim off the crust into square pieces? in fact, pallasites have cool crust w/ metal and olivene mix (have nice pieces of glorieta). i would really like to have a modern, crusted pallasite fall piece.
