Greetings List, Some of you here in the States may have seen an Alabama license plate. It has the slogan "Stars Fall On Alabama" across the top and bottom.
Several weeks ago, National Public Radio had a quiz on one of its programs asking how this slogan came about. It turns out it is in reference to the Sylacauga meteorite fall of November 1954 that went through the roof of a house and hit a lady. The State of Alabama thought this event noteworthy enough to make reference to it on every car registered in the State.
