I will provide the provenance at the time of sale. Micheal, I will let the seller know that you think he is a scammer even though his reputation is excellent and he considers you a friend. For all I know, you probably provided him with the piece. That is the problem with falls, a few bad apples have ruined it for the rest of us by introducing doubt into the market.
The meteorite fall bubble burst a few years ago and non-fall bubble a long time before that. It took me years to unload my North American find inventory, most of which came from TCU and I was lucky to break even. I was barely getting a dollar a gram for the material even though its provenance was spotless. I enjoy meteorites and still contribute to the community any chance I get. If I need some write-offs, I will be sure to flood the market. Best Wishes and Good Luck to all those selling at the Tucson Show. Well there you go, less than 20 kg recovered and thus clearly a fraud. Please identify the scammer for us all.
