 an attachment on the microscope that was causing the colour shift."

Yes, now the colors do look real and the radial pyroxene chondrule is a
"happy" RP chondrule now that it's got its real interference colors back!

John Kashuba instantly had a hunch that a 1/4 wave filter (or a similar
thing/gadget) may be the culprit for the vivid colors of the pyroxenes.
