All reports concerning meteorites that originate from Sri Lanka should be taken with a metric ton of salt. That region is a citadel of support for Wickramasinghe disciples who peddle their "red rain" and stretched-out panspermia theories. Red flags all over the place. While the idea of panspermia is not patently absurd, Wickramasinghe's treatment of it is dubious. Sri Lanka + meteorite = fiction Sales of all Sri Lankan meteorites are hereby suspended until further notice...
