Hello All,

the NWA 8705 Martian and the NWA 8701 Lunar are defenitely new in the bulletin. NWA 8705 is a new and probably unpaired find. And according to the bulletin, NWA 8701 seems to be the first Lunar from Mali (?). Its an amazing piece, one of the best I have ever seen. I`ll post some photos soon.

Best regards,
Stefan

These same meteorites? I check the bulletin daily and have never seen
these exact meteorites approved previously. AFAIK, meteorites are
only officially-approved once and announced on the Met Bulletin
Database page. When I see those new announcements on the Met Bull
page, I pass them along. I do not cross-reference them against other
sources.

Just to be clear to everyone - these notices are for new approvals,
which are not necessarily "new" meteorites. The only thing new about
them is their status as approved. Although, if a person has never
seen these before, then they might be "new" to that person.

I just announce new approvals when they are published in the bulletin.
Like Carl said, some of them are very old and are only recently
approved. :)

time

and time again? I check the links to discover these were announced
months
ago and are not new discoveries. It makes it appear that new finds are
being

found on a weekly bases.
