Minor Planet Center Director Steps Down By J.L. Galache January 6, 2015 Effective January 25, 2015, Dr. Tim Spahr will step down from his position as director of the IAU's Minor Planet Center (MPC), which he was appointed to in 2006. The Minor Planet Center is housed at the Smithsonian Astrophysical Observatory, who will be appointing an interim director until such a time as a new permanent director is found. In the meantime, MPC operations will continue as usual.
