I only act as an agent for the IMCA here in Nevada. The IMCA belongs to the
fine people who make up its membership. I ran for election and volunteered
my time on the board because I believe in what the IMCA stands for. I was
never compensated other than having the satisfaction who doing what I felt
was right. The board was elected by their peers. They serve tirelessly
without compensation. They volunteer in order to make this a better
community. The IMCA is a bright spot with a high standard of ethics. There
is nothing amiss with this great organization.
We should thank the IMCA for helping all of us.

that any entity registered with the State of Nevada provides them with a

Please, I was the one that brought it up that it expired during my time was
I was running for a spot on the board. Those that were on the IMCA list at
the time know full and well what I am talking about. Its easy to deflect
blame and try to point a finger at me for things rather then just stick to
the facts I mentioned. I made it full and clear when I was running for a
spot that I would be kicked out within a year, its no secret. I do know Adam
(thanks to a private email) is the one that made a nice chunk of money
available to the IMCA for its use. Call it a donation or what ever,... For
almost 2 YEARS the IMCA went on expired non profit status. SO please queen
anne tell me, who OWNS the IMCA then? WHos info is on all the current
documents?

You have a vivid imagination! Since I was on the IMCA Board at the time, let
me set the facts straight.
- There never was any funds missing from the IMCA, not even a penny. Maria
Haas and all the IMCA Directors past and present can vouch for that,
including Adam.
- Adam and/or Greg Hupe never bought the IMCA, because it never was for
sale. They have both been members since the beginning, and Adam served 2
terms as one of the 9 Directors on the Board.
- The non-profit status of the IMCA never lapsed. Paperwork was late once
due to miscommunication, but not late enough to endanger the non-profit
status.
However,
I do know that you are no longer an IMCA member. Shall we discuss why? I
won't need to use my imagination.

Is the concerning the IMCA funds (a few thousand) that were missing several
years ago? I know at one point you and or Greg apparently bought the IMCA
when it's non profit status was no longer valid.

It is too bad the article is full of errors. The original mold casting
system was created in 2007, not 2014. I displayed it in Anne Blacks room
at
Tucson in January of 2008. The original Hupe Collection was started by me
in the late 1990's not 1990. Greg did not come onboard until much later.
These castings are in clear violation of my copyright, artistic and
intellectual rights since I never authorized any castings made on my mold
released for public resale. Greg was given permission to create one
replica
from my casting system, that I put over 200 hours into to make it
perfect,
for promotional purposes only. These unauthorized copies put an immense
amount of wear and tear on my molding system by mass producing them.
There
is only a very limited number of replicas that can be produced on the
original casting system before they start degrading and loose definition.
I wanted to make this statement public for the record.

Now that I am back from the two France shows and the Fourth of July
holiday
weekend has wrapped up I would like to 'Officially' offer my NWA 5000
replicas. Since these are a Limited Edition, and I mean "Extremely
Limited",
there are just a couple available. I sold the one I took to the
Ensisheim
Show and it is destined for a World Class museum on the other side of
the
globe from me. How cool is that?!
As mentioned in a post here June 14th, I interviewed and chose a
professional artist in the town where I live and she did a fantastic job
on
these 'One-of-a-Kind' works of art. Thank you Judy! These were two years
in
the making of my own personal time and great financial expense, not to
mention the dozens of hours of labor over a nine month period of time by
my
artist.
Of the 'Limited' number of replicas I made of NWA 5000, most will be
given
'Free of Charge' as a personal gift by me to my customers who purchased
a
full slice or be kept in my personal collection (and of course the one I
gave to the Yale Peabody Museum!). My only hopes in making a couple of
these
available for purchase is to recoup my great 'financial' expense in
producing them. I am sure my friends/clients will all appreciate my
efforts
and gifts, a couple who have been patiently waiting for two years to
receive
this compliment to their collections!
When I considered pricing these I kept in mind many things, first and
foremost was to keep them affordable and realistic. Considering all of
the
financial and labor considerations, and the fact that these are all
'One-of-a-Kind' artworks, I believe I've priced these incredibly well
and
affordable!
