Hello all

One of the true gems of the Tucson Gem and Mineral show was this new impact melt from Niger. A stunning grey green swirled exterior, some with metal warts and teeth popping out of the surface. I was lucky to be one of the first ones there and had a chance to cherry pick the most interesting looking ones with the most metal. It is amazing to look at these and speculate just what was going on during the formation of these, chunks of iron embedding themselves in liquid rock. Classification is underway at ASU and I'm sure there will be much to say. Feast your eyes...
