When a chondrule is created, does it end up as a solid, which is then incorporated into a parent, like an asteroid? The result is then the meteorite we see, with "pebbles" in it?
Reading the papers Walter posted recently on chondrule formation, it seems more like they are still in a gas or liquid form, when incorporated into the parent body. How do they then maintain their shape? I can understand how a liquid can be round, but not when it hits something.
