When a chondrule is created, does it end up as a solid, which is then
incorporated into a parent, like an asteroid? The result is then the
meteorite we see, with "pebbles" in it? 

Reading the papers Walter posted recently on chondrule formation, it
seems more like they are still in a gas or liquid form, when
incorporated into the parent body. How do they then maintain their
shape? I can understand how a liquid can be round, but not when it hits
something.
