Hello Bernd, Indeed, this is very sad news. Thanks for your post. It should be noted that not only was John Blennert a legendary Arizona metal-detectorist in regards to gold and meteorites, he made substantial contributions to archeology. (See links below) He known worldwide, so it is no surprise that news of his passing came to us here on the Met-List by way of Germany.
