Norbert & Heike Kammel, I was only complaining about the computer components. They charge so much more than meteorite dealers! I have no complaints about any of the meteorite sellers. Meteorite dealers are all reasonable!!!!!! : )
Thanks, Tom

Subject: Re: [meteorite-list] Ebay shipping charges???

Hello, Tom and List,

I think I have to put a line in to this subject as well.

Since Sep. 11th postal security here down-under has dramatically increased, and every item, not to be a document/ card/letter has to be sent as a small parcel with ID procided etc.
The cheapest air-mail parcel is AUD $ 7.00 to the U.S.A. and AUD $ 8.00 to the rest of the world. And in quite some cases the postage charged does not even cover the postage paid, believe me! :-(
FXConverter - 164 Currency Converter Results
Thursday, September 4, 2003 7 Australian Dollar = 4.48539 US Dollar
8 Australian Dollar = 5.12616 US Dollar
We are asking for USD $ 5.00 P/H for the first item and USD $ 1.00 for every additional one.You see, we are not trying to make money on postage charges. Handling of the item and packing material are not even taken into consideration.

We are certainly trying to be fair, but it is really up to the individual to do the calculation and to decide if he/she wants to place a bid.

I hope you will still be bidding at our auctions. ;-)

Best regards from DOWN-UNDER,

Norbert & Heike Kammel

Hello List, Are we missing something? Mike farmer must be the worst, with
his one dollar shipping!!!! Others charge two, three, four, some even five
and six dollars.
I was looking for a computer mouse for my daughter and almost fell of my
chair seeing the shipping costs on these auctions! Six dollars was low for
a computer mouse, nine, ten, twelve were normal and fifteen on the high
side.
One guy had eighteen ($18) shipping and a note saying if you don't like
the shipping amount don't bid and don't ask me for to come down on the
charge! All of these S&H charges were for a single mouse.
I am not talking about a few of the auctions, I am talking just about
every one of them! Are we undercharging on our shipping or are they all
trying to rip people off?

Thanks, Tom
