Michael, Nice Photo's! - I have a friend who lives in London, and she gets flocks of Parakeets in her garden every afternoon they seem to survive our winter very well and infact seem to be thriving! London has it's own micro climate I guess.
Not sure exactly what species they are they aren't very tame you cant get close enough but they are not dissimilar to the ones you saw. Escaped pets for sure...
