'Meteorite' sighted over Orissa newindpress.com (India) September 28, 2003 BHUBANESWAR: A dazzling aerial shower that lit up the evening sky and could have been caused by a disintegrating meteorite was witnessed in Orissa on Saturday, officials said. The phenomenon, which occurred at 6.30 p.m. and lasted six seconds, was visible in five coastal districts and in this capital city, officials said. It created panic in some areas but there were no immediate reports of casualties or damage to property, officials said.
