Greetings, since I
am new to this list, I thought I should introduce myself. Some
of you might know me as a buyer on ebay (metcollector) – a pretty active
one, lately, I have to say. My name is Bernhard Rems, I am 40 and I live and
work in Vienna/Austria. My daytime profession is that of a senior copywriter
for BBDO Austria. When I am not writing and directing ads, I am interested in
astronomy (I am an active amateur astronomer, computer roleplaying games (I run
one of the largest websites for this genre) and – of course –
meteorites. You
could call me something like a junk collector: I am mainly interested in the so
called “desert rubbish”, NWA’s, ordinary chondrites and
numbered, not named meteorites. Don’t ask me why – I find them at
least as appealing as those witnessed falls and rare specimens (yes, I have
some of them, too). I
have been reading this list online for some time now, and I found it
informative (and amusing, sometimes). To
put it clear: I am not a seasoned collector. I never have hunted meteorites
myself. When I trade, I try to get rid of some surplus in my collection. I do
not intend to become a trader or a hunter. I just love meteorites, and when I
see a nice offer, I can easily be separated from my money J. I
am looking forward to the time with you. Best regards, Bernhard „Rendelius”
